Diet & Nutrition

INTEGRATED NATURAL THERAPIES PTY LTD

With numerous studies now showing that our diets are highly inadequate and that two-thirds of the deaths each year are from nutrition-related illnesses, we have placed appropriate emphasis on this vital area. With the average medical practitioner having received 6 hours or less of formal nutritional education, we have assembled a team of health professionals with accredited education in nutrition and many hours of clinical experience.

Our leading edge nutritional assessments and educational programs are of the highest quality and will go a long way toward ensuring that you do not succumb to one of the many nutrition-related diseases (heart disease, certain cancers, various arthroses, diabetes, osteoporosis, colitis, gastritis, etc.).

The Importance of Nutrition: Nutrition is Basic Human Health.

At least 45 compounds and elements contained in foods are recognised as nutrients essential for the growth and maintenance of a healthy human. The variety and quality of the nutrients supplied daily through diet determine how a fully a human body can develop, how efficiently it will function and how long it will last.

Human health is a reflection of the nutrition the body receives.

Scientific Evidence Links Nutrition With Disease.

Scientists have repeatedly found a direct relationship between nutrition and the prevention of chronic disease. We know that poor nutrition leads to deficiency diseases and undermines the bodies immune system ultimately showing up in conditions such as osteoporosis, atherosclerosis, recurrent cold’s and flu’s, infections and fatigue related conditions, to name a few.

We’re Faced With Unprecedented Nutritional Changes.

Today we are confronted with nutritional challenges. Many of these are completely beyond our control. The air we breathe, indoors and out, is polluted with the by-products of industry and engine exhaust. Water we drink is no longer pure. Over 700 chemicals have already been identified in our nation’s water supply.

The foods we eat are either stripped of nutrients through refining and processing or contaminated with pesticides, fungicides, sulfites and preservatives. The soils have been leached of nutrients through inappropriate and inadequate fertilisation procedures, non-crop rotation and soil degradation. Our grocery shelves are lined with products high in fats and sugars, but devoid of other nutrients.

The stress of living and working in this fast-paced world of ours is also taking its toll on our body’s ability to function efficiently. We have become the most overfed, undernourished population on earth. For many of us, our overall health is deteriorating. Who is going to take the responsibility for prevention of these deadly diseases now that we know they can be prevented? We are! Our health is something we can influence. We can control our nutrition to prevent disease and enhance our health.

We are Entering into A New Era in Health Care.

Each of us must begin to actively promote our own well-being within our environment. We must educate ourselves and our children to recognize the risks and find ways to intervene before the damage is done. We are entering into a new era in health care; an era where the responsibility for disease prevention and the state of our health rests largely in our own hands. Good health is the prerequisite for realization of our potential capabilities and the fulfillment of our dreams.

Nutrition and Mental Performance.

The brain is the largest organ of secretion in the body, and can be considered as a gland that produces hundreds of chemicals. These chemicals not only serve thought, reason and emotions, they are also essential in maintaining the stability and health of the entire body. To maintain health of the brain and mind adequate nutrition must be available. In this case nutrition does not only mean food, but also mental and emotional stimulation achieved through social contact.

Your Health. Your Responsibility.

An important paradigm in modern quantum physics in the “Observer Effect” in which the observer always has an effect on the observed. This paradigm can be used as a powerful tool in the practice of medicine by educating the patient to observe and hence change the pattern of their illness. This observation results in a change to the basic matrix governing the manifestation of disease in the individual.

Your health; Your responsibility !

Thus it can be seen that for the individual to achieve improvement in the quality of his health internal change is required in conjunction with external therapy. An essential element in the success of any external therapy is the patients belief in the therapy. If a patient does not have a belief in the therapy its effectiveness is reduced.

“The Bioconcepts System” works on the basis that there are a number of vital systems that need to be supported to ensure optimum health.

Most diseases have common pathways by which they initiate damage to normal cells, for example “the oxygen or free radical hypothesis of disease”. Another common pathway is the “prostaglandin hypothesis of disease”. Prostaglandin’s control all body functions at the cellular level. They regulate the cardiovascular, reproductive, immune and central nervous systems and prostoglandins are needed to control clotting, inflammation, tumour growth and allergies. The onset of disease is often the result of prostaglandin imbalance due to essential fatty acid deficiencies. When disease occurs it is not just an isolated problem such as insulin in diabetes or joint ware and inflammation in arthritis, poor systems function are involved including:

  1. Nutrition
  2. Digestion
  3. Circulation
  4. Emotional
  5. Physical (musculoskeletal)
  6. Nervous and
  7. Immune functions are present.
