Where does one begin with the scientific and practical explanation of Chiropractic, Kinesiology, Homoeopathy, Herbs and Bush Flower Remedies. Why and how do they work?

Many people are skeptical about Kinesiology, Homoeopathy and the other techniques in the alternative field. Not only because of their application and somewhat mystical effects, but also because of their origin and use in the current health paradigm.

The first thing I want to emphasise is that the alternative health field is not alternative. Many of these techniques have been used from Before Christ. Herbs have been dated back as far as the times of Hippocrates, the father of medicine in 400BC in ancient Greece. Herbal texts have been dated as far back as 1700BC in China. Homoeopathy was developed by a Doctor and Pharmacist in Germany in 1744 and the principles of the Bach and Bush Flower Remedies were developed by Doctor Edward Bach in the early 1900’s. The acupuncture and Meridian system dates back to 5000BC also and has been applied to Kinesiology since 1961. So as you can see they have a far more extended history than modern medicine, and when they are considered as alternative - I say what is the alternative? Sickness! That may be all that remains if we continue to give our responsibility and health over to the medical paradigm.

I would also like to emphasis that the origins of these techniques might be different from their current application. Some of the “New Age” modalities are claiming these techniques as their own, and while this may be the case I suggest that this should not take away from the origin of the techniques and the scientific methodology. It is far more important to consider the application of any technique in their appropriate context than the inappropriate and indiscriminate use of these techniques of those without training and the right intention.
